Kiruna Forever examines the ongoing relocation of the city of Kiruna, featuring over 100 works by architects, urban planners, and artists from the Arctic, the Nordic region, and beyond. The exhibition introduces you to the people, the ideas, and objects that tell the extraordinary history of Kiruna. From the first mines built in the northern region in the 17th Century to Ralph Erskine’s ground-breaking ideas for the Arctic in the 1960s, to the project of relocating an iconic wooden church built in 1912, and the global impact of the biggest underground iron ore mine in the world.
