Borg Mesch Untitled, 1900 Kiruna Municipality Collections The photograph portrays the Söderberg family with one of the first buildings of the industrial settlement in Kirunavaara. The girl at the center of the image is the first female baby born in the settlement, who was given the name Kiruna by the Chairman of the Board of LKAB, GE Broms. The name Kiruna has been passed on to a sixth generation of the family until today.
