ĒTER, the architects behind the design of the first museum exhibition to explore the creative field of ASMR that originated at ArkDes, have won the 2022 Dezeen Award for Exhibition Design. The exhibition, on display at the Design Museum in London, was recently extended due to popular demand.

According to the jury, WEIRD SENSATION FEELS GOOD: The World of ASMR "is an interactive assault on the senses – in a good way!" The citation continues: "The exhibition successfully translates a YouTube-generation phenomenon into a physical exhibition. It is a physical manifestation of a digital experience, making the digital tangible."

Earlier this year, ĒTER were also successful in the public vote of the 2022 Dezeen Awards.

Notes to editors
The exhibition is a collaboration between the Design Museum and ArkDes, where it was first shown in 2020. With graphic design by Agga Mette Stage and Alexander Söder,  it is curated by James Taylor-Foster (curator of contemporary architecture and design, ArkDes). The exhibition closes on April 10, 2023.

About the exhibition
WEIRD SENSATION FEELS GOOD is the first exhibition of its kind to lift ASMR out from your screen and into public space. Bringing together a global group of ASMRtists and creatives, visitors are invited to step into an acoustically tuned environment and understand how new and existing tools and materials are being deployed to negotiate a complex world.
